Create a Foundation Slab

Create a foundation slab by sketching or selecting the walls of the first level of the model.
  1. Click Structure tabFoundation panel  Slab
  2. Specify a foundation slab type from the Type Selector.
  3. Click Modify | Create Floor Boundary tabDraw panelBoundary Line and then click  (Pick Walls) to select the walls in your model. Optionally, you can sketch a foundation slab. Use the sketch tools on the Modify | Create Floor Boundary tabDraw panel to form the boundary of the foundation slab. The sketch must form a closed loop or boundary condition.
  4. On the Options Bar, click Extend into wall if you want the offset to be measured from the wall's core.
  5. On the Options Bar, specify an offset for slab edges in the Offset text box.
  6. Click Modify | Create Floor Boundary tabMode panel  Finish.
    7. Note: Foundation slabs are added below the level in which they are drawn. Therefore, if you add a foundation slab in Level 1, it is added below Level 1 and will not be visible in the Level 1 plan view. To see the foundation slab in a plan view, create a new level below Level 1, for example, Foundation Level. When you create a new level below Level 1, you will also be able to see the foundation slab as an underlay (displayed in halftone) in Level 1.

CREATING AND EXPORTING ANIMATIONS ON NAVISWORKS.

Step 1: Creating Viewpoints for animation.  Under the Viewpoint tab on the main toolbar, you can create various viewpoints for your fly-through, focussing on different parts of the building at different times in the simulation. Set up your view, and then click on the ‘Save Viewpoint button’. The Saved Viewpoints bar will open up on the right showing you the different viewpoints you have saved. After you have a few viewpoints saved, you can create the animation. Step 2: Creating Animation and linking to Simulation Go to the Animator tab, and set up your first view. Click the ‘Record’ Button, and click on your different views in the order you wish them to appear. After you finish, click the stop button. Your animation is now saved on the right. How to Create a Toposurface in Revit

Create a toposurface by placing points, by using imported 3D contour data, or by using a points file. Open a 3D view or a site plan view. Click Massing & Site tab Model Site panel  (Toposurface). To create the toposurface by placing points By default, the Place Point tool on the ribbon is active. On the Options Bar, set a value for Elevation. The points and their elevations are used to create the surface. Next to the Elevation text box, select one of the following: Absolute Elevation . Points display at the specified elevation (from the Project Base Point). You can place points anywhere in the active drawing area. Relative to Surface .
